Yesterday, we met our river. We didn’t try to fix it. We simply acknowledged and witnessed it. Today, we’re going one layer deeper. Because every river has a history. No river simply appears one day. It is shaped over years by weather, terrain, erosion, and everything that has flowed through it. Our relationship with money is no different. Long before we earned our first paycheck, our river was already being formed. By family. By culture. By what was spoken about money. By what was never spoken about money. What financial experiences left the deepest emotional imprint on you? Think about moments of joy, shame, fear, excitement, loss, or security. What did those moments make you believe about yourself and money? awareness isn’t meant to create shame. It’s meant to create choice. You cannot build stronger riverbanks while believing they appeared out of nowhere. Today, we’ve begun to understand where they came from. Tomorrow, we’ll begin choosing which ones to keep - and which ones to rebuild.
