I recently asked the leader of an AI/tech group I'm in 'how people are using ChatGPT Deep Research vs. Agent Mode.' I can't take credit for this explanation, but it's so good I wanted to share it with you.} * * * * * ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฝ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ต: The AI takes time to fully understand the problem, the intent of the user, creates a plan, and then goes and executes the plan across hundreds of websites. -- It goes WIDE to get you what you need. So when to use deep research: I use this when I want to know more about a super complex topic. I want differing opinions. etc., (eg.ย "Help me understand the current economic impact of AI and what industries are moving the fastest.") ๐๐ด๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ฒ: This is all about tools. The AI gets an actual computer to use. Instead of going to websites, summarizing what it can find, and moving on, it literally OPENS THE WEBSITE. Goes page by page to get everything it needs to know. -- It goes deep. Use agent mode when you want SUPER SPECIFIC answers that are 100% accurate... (eg. "I need to know the top chiropractors in the zip code of 12345, and then I want to know when they are open, what services they provide, and the distance from them to the nearest interstate.") * * * * * How are you using Agent Mode? Share your use-cases!
