Personal curiosity
Just wondering is anyone else on carnivore wearing a GCM is experiencing a profile like this. I'm not at all worried about the values, I profiled it with finger pricks, it's somewhere between 0.5-0.8 above the value on the Mojo. What I fail to understand is the peak around 8-9 AM. Just to add context, I followed my usual program that day, wake up 5:30, do like 30 minutes workout, eat around 6AM. Breakfast - 6 eggs with ghee and cottage cheese, lunch around 1PM, 600g picanha. Sauna around 11:00 AM. But none of these activities, be that eating or exercise don't reflect in the glycemic profile. Again, not worried, I feel perfect, energy is constant, mind is as clear as it could be. Just curious :)

@Stephen Thomas thank you very much for the detailed response. I learned something new today. Actually two things. One is that dawn effect doesn't kicks in immediately when you wake up, and that's perfectly fine. Second is, just feed your body the food it needs (meat, some meat, and then some extra meat), and trust nature, evolution and body intelligence :) ..... Thanks a lot!
Yet another myth I quickly "debunked" early on Carnivore...
One of the myths I have always heard in the past years was that rare meat is not healthy and the juices leaking out of the meat is THE BLOOD that have bacteria that will get us sick... Well, rare meat is not only not unhealthy, it may actually contain more nutrients than cooked counterpart. However, not in significant amount to the degree of a risk of vitamin/mineral deficiency on cooked meat only diet. And no, the juices leaking out is not BLOOD, is it the myoglobin, naturally giving a red color to the juices inside the meat. Also, dry aging the meat for few days before cooking gets rid of fair amount of moisture in the meat so that no juices will be leaking out after cooking is complete, so rare/medium rare cooked meat can be served without any "blood" leaking out that grosses out many people... Don't be scared of undercooking the meat due to the blood nonsense.

I come from a culture where one of the delis when sacrificing an animal was blood pudding... And live now in a country I can find that at almost any corner

@Chris Schofield come to Bangkok :D ... Here it's blood only.
The sad state of affairs
Not 100% on the subject of this group, yet I think it might explain why the carnivore/keto community gets so much hate from the "other" side. And I don't subscribe to the full extend of generalization touted in the expose, but still... And on a different note, maybe that's why I appreciate sooo much the letters from the one and only @Stephen Thomas :) ... The delivery of precise and grounded information is something soo rare these days.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkqyKNVJN80

@Stephen Curtin I guess way before Harari, there were the Day tapes. Even more frightening
What is your WHY?
I would be curious to know what your why is for adopting a carnivore lifestyle? Did it start as something different from what it is now? For me I struggled for years with obesity. Then I had gastric bypass surgery in 2007. Two years after that I developed post-bariatric reactive hypoglycemia. For years, I had no idea what it was or how to treat it, all I knew was that it just kept getting worse. I never got an official diagnosis, but after years of researching my symptoms, I finally found the name for what I had. Then in 2016, I went on a ketogenic diet to lose weight (I had gotten back up to 195 pounds at 5'3"). It was during that time that I discovered the link between diet and controlling the RH symptoms. That worked for a long time, and my reactions became less and less frequent. Then I tried to add some more carbohydrates back in... mostly to get more fiber since I was also battling with chronic constipation. None of that helped. In 2013 and 2021, I had bowel obstructions that required surgery, and in 2021, I actually lost an additional length of my bowel. I have no duodenum whatsoever, so malabsorption is a big issue for me. I tried paleo and Whole30, and those were okay... but I still was having issues. Then on Thanksgiving 2024 I had a paleo meal.... something I had eaten many times... it was very meat-heavy, hardly any carbohydrates really... just a bit of plain sweet potato with butter and cinnamon, turkey, and some green beans. A meal that should have been totally fine.... HOWEVER... I had one of the worst RH reactions ever. It was after that I gave up carbs completely... at least for the next 3 of 4 months. I have been able to test and add a few non-carnivore things back in, but I am now 98% carnivore and I feel the best I ever have! No more constipation, no more psoriasis, no more bleeding gums... ADHD.... and best of all, no more hypoglycemia episodes, which came along with a lovely dose of neuroglycopenia. I will never go back to my old way of eating!

My why was.. I found keto via youtube, started on it, then the usual rabbit hole: Dr. Berry, Dr. Chaffee, etc.... I didn't had anything to heal, even though, thinking retrospectively, I was probably in the pre-diabetes range. But, my why was I like meat :)
