Hi all, Dan here and I'm new to trading. My main goal is to learn whether I'm a decent fit for trading, then home in on that specific area. I have about 1.5 hrs I can dedicate to this every day; we're prepping to move from Iowa back to California in the next 45 days. I don't have a struggle yet because I haven't traded a dang thang, but when I do, I'll update accordingly. A rule I like to follow when jumping into anything I'm unfamiliar with is to watch the people who are successful and follow their guidance to the letter. The older I get, the less I know!
NASDAQ trade from this morning! BOWS for the win!!
Just wanted to post an example of a trade I took today in NASDAQ on my Futures account. It is a combination of what we learn in BOWS Bootcamp and the seminar that Kunal set up with Mehul Patel a few weeks ago utilizing the quarters as entry positions/profit targets. You can see on the bottom green arrow (first entry - rather light position). NASDAQ swept below a major quarter ($25,250) and the next candle confirmed above it. I took my entry position here and set my stop loss (red horizontal line) under the wick of the candle. The second green arrow is where I added to my position with the Bull Flag which is taught in Bootcamp. Going in light at first, allowed me to trade stress free through the ups and downs until the break-out confirmed. When it confirmed, I added to a full-size entry and put my stop loss under the 9 EMA and it never even came close. Start scaling out aggressively (red arrows) as it continued to get further extended from the 9. The charting shown in the picture is from the TradeMakers Platform which is next level!!
