Networking
Anybody else part of a networking group that meets in person? Local Traffic of transportation club? Chamber of Commerce? Marketing and Sales social Groups? Do you find good value in Networking with fellow professionals in person?

Steven networking is always beneficial meeting face to face with " like minded " individuals. We also attend university luncheons / functions that have a logistics / supply chain program attended by students and professors. We also hire ( summer only ) logistics students every year for then to earn their practical portion. Regards

I believe it will be client retention. As mentioned above the rates are finally coming up and I suspect there will be a lot of " price shopping " / RFP'S in the 1st quarter. Regards

Broker Transparency
Whats your take on the new enforcement of the Transparency rule That a Freight Broker will have to provide their carriers documentation showing the rate the Shipper paid the Broker? Anybody have something to say about this? LOL

I would actually look at the reason why posting ANY RATE on documentation is required. This negotiated confidential rate is strictly between the shipper ( 3PL designate ) and the carrier based on a agreed price. It may be considered a " breach " or at the very least testing the ethical relationship between parties. My 2 cents
