Huge fan of David Zucker
The first film I ever saw that changed my life was Mississippi Burning, the second was The Accused. I was nine at the time and Anthony Hopkins immediately became my favorite actor... "Put the lotion in the basket!" lol I digress. "Airplane!" is the perfect movie of course. Saw it in the cinema dubbed in French back when it was released. Most of the jokes didn't make any sense but that might've made it even funnier. I've seen it a dozen times since and everything else with the Zucker label on it. BTW I did a video way back when "The N***d Gun" (2025) was going to be released (I guess this is a forbidden topic here, it should be)... Anyway, it was an homage to the man. It was only seen by 34 people then taken down by the HUAC and I've spent the other half of my life in hiding. I thought this would be the perfect place to show it. It's slop, it's dark and leaves a bad taste in your mouth - something for everybody. https://youtu.be/j8yLCvHpLPM

@Johnny Osburn It was a full-on video production on shoestring budget. It was made back in July 2025 and AI has come a very long way since. Try Seedance 2.0, you will be surprised (available on Runway now - there are plenty of good tutorials out there). But to do this video I had to generate each scene separately, the images (start/end frame). Now this took hours and endless iterations (so much can go slop). Also back then Nano Banana was less "IP sensitive" so you were able to get away with some of the characters (not Disney though). As this was a dialogue-driven clip, I created the voices and dialogues in ElevenLabs. Then to generate the videos I used Kling, but to get the dialogue to sync was a bitch (and didn't even work on some scenes, if you watch closely), then try to stitch it all together in editing... The alien gag was actually unscripted, and due to the previous video gen glitching out. To be honest a blooper reel would probably be funnier than the final clip. It's hard work but slop after all... BUT if anybody wants to make low-budget funny videos remember THE GUY IN THE SMILEY MASK 😎 (not a real CTA!!)

What is it they say? There are those who teach or those who do 😁 Sure, maybe, but there are hundreds of great tutorials on YouTube. You just need the right tools and patience. Look up Seedance 2.0 prompting. Anyone and his uncle can be a movie producer (and probably will be) by the end of this year... Remember where you heard it first! @Johnny Osburn I did watch some of your clips... they're funny. You can't teach funny, but with the right tools (and a bit of a budget, AI video can get expensive) you can do it!
Screenwriting Experience
On a scale of 1-10, what is your level of screenwriting experience? (Some guide posts) 1 - What's a screenplay? 3 - I know that screenplays exist. 5 - I've read a screenplay before. 6 - I have some ideas, but I don't really know how to start. 7 - I've finished a draft, but it needs some help. 8 - I've finished a final draft, but no one will read it. 10 - I've sold a screenplay.
