CHALLENGE: Make changes one at a time
Here's an image creation challenge for you. Use the attached first image of a purple bloom and follow these steps. (You can click on the image, right-click, and "save as" to your hard drive so you can find it and upload to your AI tool) 1. Use the original purple bloom image below as a reference image and ask your AI to modify it to deeply saturate the colors. 2. Next, modify that new image and ask the AI to adjust the lighting to create a circular spotlight effect. 3. Next, ask the AI to modify that new image to place the purple bloom in a ceramic container with ot her similar blooms. I made my container a deep purple. 4. Finally, ask the AI to modify the image to create a scene with the container on a deck. I used the Kre8or AI tool for mine, but you can use ChatGPT or another AI tool that you have access to. NOTE: I was not happy with the spotlight effect - the existing light on the bloom kinda messed that up. Share your results in the comments. If you like, use your own image of a flower or bloom. -Shirley

@Shirley Dawson That makes sense, Shirley. Sometimes the existing lighting in an image can make it harder for AI to create a completely different lighting effect without affecting the original details. I think it’s also a good reminder of why making one change at a time is useful. You can identify what works and what doesn't without losing the original image. Despite the spotlight challenge, how did you find the final result with the bloom in the ceramic container?

@Shirley Dawson That's lovely, Shirley! I can imagine how satisfying it must be to plan your container deck each spring and watch everything come together. It also gives me a better picture of where your creativity and photography inspiration come from. By the way, I've had a chance to explore your community a little more, and I really like the direction you're taking with it. The beginner course, practical creative challenges, and opportunities for members to share their results are a great foundation. I did notice a few opportunities to make the member experience even stronger as the community grows, particularly around guiding new members from joining, to starting the course, participating in challenges, and eventually sharing their own creations. This is actually the kind of work I help Skool community owners with. I help structure the member journey, organize the Start Here experience and classroom, improve engagement through purposeful categories and activities, and develop landing pages that help turn social media visitors into community members. I would love to share a few practical ideas I have for Shirley Image Creation that could help you build on what you've already started. Would you be open to that?
