Recently, I made the decision to walk away from a long-term brand collaboration. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝘆. \ We went back and forth, but ultimately I had to decide: Was I willing to keep doing more just because I was afraid to lose the guaranteed monthly income? I wasn’t. So I walked away. And yeah, I was bummed. 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗. Especially in UGC where so much can feel unpredictable. But literally the next morning, a much bigger collaboration came through. And I’m sharing that because if you’re trying to build something with content right now, I want you to remember this: One opportunity is not your only opportunity. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐬𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺. Create the content. Send the pitch. Practice the hook. Make the video. Get better. Take the chance. Know your value. And keep going. You have no idea which video, pitch, connection, or decision is going to open the next door. 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 “𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴” 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴. 💜
