Hi everyone 😊 I wanted to share some exciting news! 🎉 I have accepted a position as a Software Engineer / Data Scientist at Geotechnics. In this role, I am working on automating their manual lab processes using software and data solutions. It is initially a three-month contract, but I am really enjoying the work so far. I feel very grateful to be gaining hands-on industry experience while continuing to look for long-term opportunities 🙏✨ It feels much better to be learning, working, and growing rather than just sitting at home and searching for jobs 😊 Thank you all for your support and encouragement! 💐

My win this week is a HUGE one 🥹🙏❤️✨ Some of you might remember me coming back from my first office trip a few weeks ago and having a bit of a rant about the lack of women I was seeing in tech roles , and conversations.…..Well they listened…… this September I’ll be heading to Germany 🇩🇪 (Munich) to lead a Women in Data & AI networking lunch!!!!!!…… I still can’t believe what I’m saying!!!!! We all know first-hand how much these spaces matter….. This network has changed my life….. It’s given me confidence, opportunities, friendships and introduced me to all of you incredible women.…. A few months ago I was still trying everything in my power to find where in the tech world I could fit…… to now be in a position where I get to help create opportunities for other women to make those same connections feels sooooo special, and I’m incredibly proud and grateful……obviously I’m going to be on a WiTPN recruiting mission while I’m there too 🤣❤️✨ Now for the whine… 🥵….. THIS HEAT.…. More specifically, the stress of making sure Blacky-Chan 🐰 survives it 🤣😩🙈……I swear I’ve spent the last few days checking on him every 5 minutes….. He’s got frozen bottles, cooling mats, damp ears, fans, cold tiles and more attention than most humans receive.….. I’ve seen so many heartbreaking posts in the bunny groups about rabbits struggling in the heat and it’s had me worried sick.…. Meanwhile Blacky is lying around like a tiny furry king, completely unbothered while I’m the one having a nervous breakdown 🤣🙈 Over to you lot…What’s your win this week? ….And what are you whining about? 👀
