Quiero presentaros a alguien especial dentro de Quickinglés Lab. Se acaba de incorporar @Luis Vega-Mendez , buen amigo mío desde hace más de 20 años. Luis y yo hemos trabajado juntos durante muchos años en entornos internacionales 🌍, así que le conozco muy bien tanto a nivel profesional como personal. Además, Luis fue miembro de la US Air Force y tiene un inglés muy natural, muy real y muy trabajado por experiencia, no solo por libros. La idea es que Luis también pueda echar una mano dentro de la comunidad, participar en conversaciones, ayudar en algunas sesiones y aportar ese punto de inglés práctico que tanto necesitamos aquí. Esto es una muy buena noticia para Quickinglés Lab, porque esta comunidad no va de estudiar inglés de forma aislada. Va de usarlo. De escucharlo. De practicarlo. De perder el miedo. Quick note before we start In English, "trillion" is 1,000,000 million. In Spanish, that's "un billón". So "trillionaire" in English = "billonario" in Spanish. Confusing, right? This is exactly the kind of thing that trips Spanish speakers up. Now, my opinion... I think it's complicated. On one hand, Musk has built things that genuinely change the world (rockets, electric cars, satellites). On the other hand, one person having more money than entire countries makes me uncomfortable 😅. Wealth at that scale stops being about merit and becomes about power, and ..at the of the day we are just humans.. What do you think?
