There is a good resource for sewing machine manuals and it is completely free. You can find manuals for operation as well as manuals for and repair. It's the manual library.(www.manualslib.com).It has manuals for almost everything man has made over the past 75 years or more. Everything from automobiles to toasters to sewing machines. There are plenty of ads on this site this keep our cost free. You can read the manuals while you are there or can download the manuals you choose. At one point I sold and serviced the machines I sold. This was and is a great resource for any sewer.
