The NYC Marathon and What It Can Teach You About Money - Newsletter
This Sunday, thousands of people will run the NYC Marathon. They've spent months preparing for this moment. But no matter how much they've trained, they can't cross the finish line if they never start the race. The same thing happens with money. You can spend 10, 15, or even 20 years being a great saver and still find yourself wondering if you'll have enough money to retire or stop depending on a paycheck. That's because saving money and building wealth are not the same thing. We know because we were big savers too. At one point, I was saving 75% of my paycheck! But we eventually realized that if we wanted more choices in life, we needed our money to do more than sit in the bank. That meant learning how to invest responsibly. Not gambling. Not chasing the next hot stock. And definitely not risking money we couldn't afford to lose. There's a difference between being financially responsible and being financially prepared for the life you actually want. We talk more about this in this week's premium newsletter. And if this message sounds familiar, we have something for you. We're opening a limited number of application calls for our Fearless & Funded Accelerator. But this isn't for everyone. ✅ You've already built strong saving habits and have money beyond your emergency savings. ✅ You're not living paycheck to paycheck. ✅ You're ready to learn how to invest responsibly instead of continuing to put it off. If that's you, we want to talk. We're not looking for people who simply want to make more money. We're looking for people who are financially ready to put their money to work. Enrollment is by application only, and a call does not guarantee acceptance. Reply YES if you'd like the link to apply for a call. 2027 is coming. What will you do differently before it gets here?

Hi, Nadia! Great analogy! Is it okay to share these posts with people outside of the skool?
There’s a NEW way to grow your retirement savings
Most high-saving professionals leave their money in savings accounts or hand it over to a financial advisor and hope for the best. The problem with this is you have no real control, your money barely grows, and you’re dependent on someone else to protect your future. The new way is The Flexible Capital Strategy. This is superior because instead of letting your savings sit in low-yield accounts, The Flexible Capital Strategy uses a bridge account to supercharge your savings, generate accessible passive income, and run completely on autopilot. No penalties. No high fees. No financial advisor required. We retired at 34, built $10K+/month in passive income, and achieved 22% portfolio returns over the last 3 years using this exact approach. We’ve helped complete beginners go from knowing nothing about investing to building their own portfolios and achieving 20%+ returns. Stop leaving your money on the table. Start investing in a way that actually protects your retirement. Want to know more? Comment NEW and we’ll personally reach out.

Deferred Comp and Charles Schwab accounts
A few years ago as i was exploring my deferred 457 retirement plan app, I ran into a section “Self Directed Brokerage Option” that permitted me to transfer money from my regular retirement account to independently purchase EFT with Charles Schwab. I jumped on the opportunity and did fairly well. Now that I am retired and I am unable to transfer from my regular retirement account into CS would I be able to contribute money? BTW for those of you with the deferred 457 retirement plan, you should look into this section.

@Marcia Wilson , I am actually in the process of rolling over my 457 to CS. My goal is to do Roth conversions, over several years.

@Gwendolyn Harris and @Johnny Thomas , Hello Gwen and Johnny, I am also retired. I joined this group in hopes of connecting with other retirees who have a desire to grow in retirement. I have been retired 3 years. I'm considering a job or business venture, to generate earned income to fund my Roth. While I was working, I didn't take advantage of the Roth. Are either of you taking advantage of a Roth account?
