Millie is a 78 y.o. active retired woman who lives a full life, but is has arthritis and chronic pain in her wrists and hands and sometimes shoulders. Millie lives alone. She enjoys painting and needlework and making jewelry but has found that she has a very difficult time doing so of late. What really bothers her is that her handwriting has become illegible and looks "old." She likes to send cards to her children, grandchildren and friends, but has stopped doing so as much because she does not want anyone to notice the change in her handwriting. Even though she is a fashionista, she is even having a hard time fastening her coat and putting on her earrings recently. She enjoys Pinterest and Facebook as she can talk to her family and friends by typing and not have to worry about how she forms her words and how it looks on paper. She likes to shop at crafting stores such as Michael's and Hobby Lobby, but she has not been in over 6 months as she is having such difficulty with using her hands. Instead she sticks to just shopping for basics at Aldi and things like that. Millie likes watching TV and reading books and magazines and is doing more of this now since she run into problems with use of her hands.
