P.B.T.A. comes to mind. Pause. Breathe. Think. Act. This is an easy acronym to employ in any situation in order to maintain inner calm and a centered core of self control. Pressure often triggers a fight, flight, freeze, or fawn response, causing fluid movement and perception to be inhibited. Making a habit of P.B.T.A can be a key to coping with pressure by breaking this response.
