5 contributions to Parenting Big Emotions
Be honest... what was the last thing that triggered a "Big Emotion" in your house? 🌪️
We talk a lot about helping them co-regulate, but sometimes we’re just trying to keep it together ourselves! Was it: The 17th time asking them to put shoes on? 👟 A meltdown over the 'wrong' color plate? 🥣 The public grocery store standoff? 🛒 Something else? (Tell us in the comments!) Drop a number below. No judgment here, just a reminder that you aren't doing this alone. 👇"

@Teagan Williams That is an exhausting cycle to be in before you've even had your own coffee! 😩 It feels like a personal rejection of your effort, but it’s really just them navigating some big, messy feelings about their morning. Deep breath. You offered the 'Menu of Love,' and if they weren't ready to eat, that’s okay. You're still a great parent even if the eggs went cold.

@Grant Watson I hear you. With 4 kids, you aren't just a parent; you’re an air traffic controller, a chef, and a peacekeeper all at once! ✈️ Sometimes the 'chaos' makes us feel like we’re losing control, but in reality, it’s just proof of how much life is happening under your roof. Don't let the mess or the noise trick you into thinking you aren't doing a great job. Depth over perfection, always.
⭐ Welcome To The Calm In The Chaos⭐
If you have ever felt like you are "failing" because your home feels louder or more intense than everyone else’s—take a deep breath. You are exactly where you belong. Raising children with big emotions isn’t about "fixing" them or being a perfect, stoic parent. It’s about understanding the biology of behavior. This community is your safe harbor to learn evidence-based skills that move your family from constant "survival mode" to a place of connection and peace. 🏠 What we do here: The Science of Calm: We look at the nervous system (yours and theirs) to understand why meltdowns happen. Co-Regulation Tools: Practical, real-life ways to stay grounded when the chaos hits. Zero Judgment: This is a space where you can be honest about the hard days without being shamed. 🚀 Your First Step (Do this now!) We want to get to know you and your family. Introduce yourself in the comments below: The "Big Emotion" Wins: What is one thing you love most about your child’s intense personality? (Their passion? Their creativity? Their empathy?) The Goal: What is one specific area where you’re looking for more "calm" right now? (Bedtime? School mornings? Public outings?) The Light Check: Using our Traffic Light system, where is your nervous system sitting right now? 🟢 🟡 🔴 I am so glad you’re here. Let's start finding the calm, together.
