Grok Build Destop App & Extension
Hey everyone, I came across this open source (yes, free) project that makes using Grok a little more user friendly (I dispise terminal based UX). It has both a Desktop App that looks/feels like Codex, Claude Destop and the like. And there's also a VS Code extension with a nice UX/UI. https://github.com/phuryn/grok-build-vscode

@Shane McGrath That is why I'm using it on a spare PC with almost empty Google Account. If something will leak, I will not lose anything important.

🌟 My career superpower: Diving headfirst into the unknown and figuring out how to build solutions from scratch. ❤️ My passion: Engineering the fun stuff, not the boring stuff. A great example of my vibe: I wanted a better stream experience, so I dug up an abandoned OBS project, rolled up my sleeves, and brought it back to life. I ended up diving deep into C++ (a language I had never used before) to fix bugs, optimize audio mechanics, and build out custom dynamic voice allocation. The result is obs-squawk-croc, a Text-to-Speech plugin for OBS. It supports up to 900 voices and automatically assigns a unique, permanent voice to every single viewer who drops into my stream's chat.

@Shane McGrath Try it! Add it to your OBS, add txt files, choose a model and paste some texts to the input file. I just posted PNG how the config screen looks like. I feel You! Spent my Sunday vibe coding a client demo app and actually finished it using 99% Grok to write the code. Later found out I had a "reset" button available the entire time 🤣
