Roth 401k
Good Monday morning everyone. A question about Roth 401k: Since these are post-tax contributions, is the government still our silent partner on this account? Is this included in RMD? When can we start taking distributions without penalty on this account? How is it different from a Roth IRA? @Ryan Bakke, CPA @Mason Kimball, CPA @Kevin Medina, CPA, MBA

Cost Segregation Expert - Recommendation
Any recommendation on Cost Seg study expert? Can this be done online, or is an in-person visit required? My STR is in Oceano CA and Fremont CA. Thanks in advance!

Agree with RE Cost Seg, I've used their DIY option 2x now and have been happy with the results. Throwing in my referral code here! :) https://recostseg.referral-factory.com/um7oeGQy
tax filing for minor dependents
Our kids had unearned income more than $1350 (dividends, short and long term capital gains). Since they need to file a tax return, what is the better approach? A) to file an extension for them and include them in our (parents) filing with form 8814? or B) just separately file it now? @Ryan Bakke, CPA @Mason Kimball, CPA @Kevin Medina, CPA, MBA

R.E Cost Seg Referral Link
Hello! I just finished my intro call with R.E. Cost Seg, and they mentioned a 10% discount if I use a referral link. Has anyone here worked with them before and has a link that I can use? Thank you!

Thanks for this Ryan. Sort of piggy backing on this, I know someone who just opened a ROTH IRA and continuted to it even if he was over the income limit, he didn't do the back door route. Will there be penalties for that in the near and far future? How should he correct it?
