Peptide Q&A
Drop your best peptide questions below; it can be about anything. The whole peptide space, specific peptides, or why things are done a certain way. I think I can provide some insight. I may respond or create an entire video if we get enough questions.

@Lucian Shaw I have Hashi and I’m still trying to find something. Thymosin alpha 1 keeps popping up….. BPC-157. KPV. These are just some that I’ve read to be beneficial. Personally, I’ve only tried BPC, but it was a short & aggressive cycle. Not near enough to be effective for immune issues.

@Liam Barton for beginners… you probably have a minimum 2 month supply. Depends on if you’re currently on a glp and transitioning to Reta…
Zinc + GHK-Cu: The Critical Balance You're Probably Missing ⚠️
Running GHK-Cu for anti-aging, skin health, or recovery? Here's what most people don't know: Copper and zinc compete for absorption. And if you're supplementing GHK-Cu without balancing zinc, you're potentially sabotaging your results. The Copper-Zinc Seesaw ⚖️ When you increase copper intake (via GHK-Cu), you can: - Deplete zinc stores over time - Disrupt the optimal copper:zinc ratio (should be 1:8 to 1:15) - Create deficiency symptoms that counteract your GHK-Cu benefits This is especially critical if you're using: - High-dose topical GHK-Cu (2-4%+) - GHK-Cu protocols - Multiple copper peptide products daily What Happens When You're Zinc Deficient? 😬 Physical symptoms: - Weakened immune function - Hair loss (ironic, right?) - Skin inflammation and acne - Poor wound healing - Fatigue Hormonal effects: - Lowered testosterone - Estrogen dominance - Thyroid dysfunction - Mood swings, anxiety, irritability The kicker? These are the OPPOSITE of what you're trying to achieve with GHK-Cu! The "Copper Uglies" Connection 🤔 Ever heard of people looking WORSE on copper peptides instead of better? It might be copper-zinc imbalance: - Excess copper increases oxidative stress - Accelerates collagen breakdown (via MMPs) - Causes inflammation - Creates that "aged" look some people report The Fix: Your GHK-Cu + Zinc Protocol 📋 If you're using GHK-Cu regularly: ✅ Supplement 15-30mg zinc daily - Use zinc picolinate or glycinate (best absorption) - Take in the evening with food - Separate from GHK-Cu application by 6-8 hours ✅ For higher doses or injectable GHK-Cu: - Consider 30-50mg zinc - Get blood work to monitor copper:zinc ratio - Work with a healthcare provider ✅ Eat zinc-rich foods: - Red meat - Pumpkin seeds - Eggs - Cashews Bottom Line 🎬 Don't optimize one mineral in isolation. GHK-Cu is powerful for anti-aging, skin regeneration, and tissue repair - BUT if you're depleting zinc in the process, you're undermining those same benefits.

So….. I take a multivitamin that has 24 mg of zinc …. This should cover the bases, correct? Max pin of 2 mg ghk-cu 5 days on 2 off. @Derek Pruski

My math is showing copper to zinc ratio 1:9.6.
Peptide Stacking
Ran into a research wall trying to understand peptide stacking. Does stacking mean you combine peps into one syringe or does it mean you're injecting multiple peps in multiple pinings?

Injecting multiple peps/pins. Combining into the same syringe is typically not a good idea.
The GHK-Cu "Purging Phase" - What You Need to Know 🔬
I've been seeing a lot of questions lately about whether GHK-Cu causes a purging phase, so I wanted to break this down for the community. First - What Even IS Purging? Think of purging as your skin's "spring cleaning" on fast-forward. When you introduce certain active ingredients, they accelerate your skin cell turnover. This means all those microcomedones (tiny clogs) that were hanging out under your skin get pushed to the surface WAY faster than they normally would. The result? Your skin can look worse before it looks better. Fun times, right? 😅 So Does GHK-Cu Actually Cause Purging? Here's where it gets interesting... Yes, it CAN - but it's not as common or intense as with retinoids or chemical exfoliants. GHK-Cu (copper peptides) does accelerate cell turnover, which technically means purging is possible. However, most people don't experience a dramatic purge with copper peptides. How To Tell If You're Actually Purging Not every breakout is a purge! Here's how to know the difference: ✅ It's Probably Purging If: - The breakouts are showing up in places you NORMALLY break out - They're small, fast-moving bumps (micro-comedones, whiteheads, blackheads) - It's been less than 6 weeks since you started - The breakouts are resolving faster than your typical pimples ❌ It's Probably NOT Purging If: - Breakouts are appearing in totally new areas - You're seeing red, irritated bumps all over - It's been over 6 weeks and things aren't improving - You're experiencing stinging, dry patches, or sensitivity (that's irritation, not purging!) The Timeline If you ARE purging from GHK-Cu, expect it to last 4-6 weeks max. After that, your skin should be noticeably clearer. If you're still breaking out after 6 weeks, the product probably isn't right for you. My Tips for Avoiding/Managing the Purge 1. Start slow - Don't go all-in immediately. Use it 2-3x per week at first 2. Lower concentration - Begin with 1-2% GHK-Cu products, especially if you have sensitive skin 3. Patch test - Always. No exceptions. 4. Be patient - If it IS a purge, pushing through can lead to clearer skin on the other side 5. Monitor other factors - Diet, stress, hormones, and other products can all cause breakouts too

Definitely experiencing irritation - red inflamed eyelids. It’s so bizarre. Im going to have to back up a little and reduce dosage after I get this inflammation to go away. Lower the dosage and frequency.

@Kristy Free I slathered on some Vaseline last night at bedtime and it’s pretty much resolved…. 90%. Skin flooding, I’ve heard…. Helps. So…. Vaseline for a few more days and try again with a lower dose. 🤞🏼

@Derek Pruski I really wanna try it for my neuropathy.

@Lisa G I have peripheral neuropathy from Hashimoto’s — autoimmune…. So, this is what I’ve found in my research that might help it. I did a short aggressive cycle of bpc157 and was starting to have improvement at the end of that cycle. So…. Maybe running it on longer cycles would help, too. …. And maybe the ARA290 along side it.
