The excitement cluttered my thinking!
As with all of us, we're so excited to venture out and start our own small business. We read all of the tips and tricks, To do's and Not to do's, and the steps to take to make it happen. So here I am, I am the ding bat who was super antsy pantsy to get started...registered the business name, did the tax thing with the state, made up the logo and got business cards made (super cute) scheduled my manager certification exam and the applied for financing. I should have known better. My application was denied. SO, now I have to wait til tax time to purchase a hot dog cart. Then I started thinking, hey, I can sell lemonade and/or dirty sodas in the mean time BUT, now my business name logo and marketing materials do not reflect these beverages alone. (Palm smacking the forehead right now). Sooooooo, here's where I am reaching out to you all to ask you what would you do? Would you only change the business name and take a loss on the marketing materials and money to make the change or would you create another business, but eventually will be selling the hot dogs and beverages together. I appreciate all suggestions 🙂 I have high sights for the future so I will make this happen! This dream will come about! 🤗

Come up with another name that reflects your other business. I have High Mountain Grill for my food business and High Mountain Squeeze for my lemonade business. Don’t over think it.
New (to us) hot dog cart
Here's a few pictures of our new addition to our vending family. We already have "All Shook Up - Lemon Shake Ups"

@Jim Duncan I do a ton of grilled cheese it’s mainly what I do. That’s the first thing I thought of when I saw your cart and your griddle was grilled cheese.

@Jim Duncan that sounds good. I do a polish sausage, bell pepper, onion , provolone , cheddar, brown mustard on garlic sourdough. It’s called a majestic grilled cheese probably one of my most popular besides my Reuben.
Brand new RV park across from our fairgrounds
Because I joined the Chamber of Commerce in my small town, I was contacted by the brand new RV park because I’m on the vendors list. It is directly across from our fairgrounds. We hold one of the largest bluegrass festivals in the state along with 15 other music festivals so the RV park is packed constantly they asked me to come set up on Saturday, October 11 From 11 until run out. This will be my first opportunity to be there something I’ve been wanting to do for a while this is a big game changer because most of the music festival of the fairgrounds are three days they open the RV park up to the public to get food. They have a small store and propane access. It’s on a major road that the community typically stops and gets lunch from other vendors but now I’m part of that. I’m so excited actually I’m head over hills. I will give updates in two weeks.
$1000
Pulled off another wonderful week. My goal is $1000 a week . I made that nine in hours worth of vending. I like to say it’s worth everything. I do to make a two week paycheck in nine hours.

@Mardi Minx you just make your fresh lemonade. After muddling it shake it in the container by hand punch hole and serve. Nothing fancy just mixing it all together. There are no silly questions. 😁

@Michael Wood my goal of 1000 is my minimum of a slow week. I push myself on a busy week to definitely make more. On a good weekend like this weekend brew fest setting up both my business high Mountain Grill and high Mountain squeeze should be at about $3000 on Saturday farmers market on Sunday should bring me about $800. That’s a good weekend. I am having fun. I love what I’m doing. I wouldn’t change anything.
Happy You're Here!
Howdy, I'm happy you found us! I’m Ben. I built this free group so we can help one another learn, grow, help others and gain more freedom! You’ll find videos, tutorials, and help from pro vendors. To start... tell me:• What food do you sell (dirty soda, lemonade, funnel cakes, hot dogs, etc.)?• What’s one thing you want help with first? Maybe.... post a pic or a video of your setup... I'd love to see it. 🌭 itsBEN

I know you said waiting for taxes but try borrowing 500 dollars to get your operation up and running.

I’ve been vending for Two years and in the restaurant industry for 30. Grilled Cheese is one of my specialties but not the only thing I cook.
