🤝 If You Could Send One Resource to a Struggling Colleague Right Now...
Think of a pilot or aviation professional in your circle who's navigating something hard right now — career pressure, crew dynamics, confidence, leadership. If you could send them one thing — a book, a conversation, a community — what would it be, and why? How can we help them?

You’re right, I did. This is my “Why”. I’d recommend First Class Leaders because it gives you a practical way to work through real challenges with people who actually understand what you’re dealing with. It’s not about quick fixes or being told what to do—it helps you slow things down, get a clearer perspective, and make better decisions in the moment. If you’re struggling with something professionally, it just gives you a solid framework and support to handle it in a way that lines up with the kind of pilot and leader you want to be

Coffee Hour - This Saturday!
I want to jump on a call with those who are interested and play around with the next custom tool that will hopefully help any pilot with their career progress: a "SWOT" analysis geared for aviation. Come join us and let's all test it out together! Check out the Calendar for the time (1400 Toronto Time) and link to join!

Sounds good JD! And I was planning to join 😂. I am enjoying my time on FCL and contributing where I can. Mentoring is becoming a mission for me. With regards to the calculator, I’m attempting to build this little tool that figures out how much of a flight is actually “official night.” You punch in the departure and arrival airports and local times, it grabs all the nerdy data—coordinates, time zones, sunrise, sunset—and spits out how much of the flight counts as night. The problem is… my computer skills are somewhere between “basic user” and “should probably not be trusted with settings,” so I’m hoping to hand this off to you to polish it up and make it actually work the way it should. What do you think? Is this valuable idea? I am tired of trying to figure out my night time when I am flying from day into night 🤪

LOL I can relate. Hey that sounds like a great idea. I am currently using an excel spreadsheet. I was trying to print off a few months worth of entries but it wasn’t working but thankfully my wife who was an executive assistant before retiring was able to figure it out lol OY VAY!
