Idk really how to really respond to this but I mean it in the nicest way coming from 29 year old. Sometimes you just got to tell the you are busy and to figure it out depending on what it is like a updates to a house or like a dead batter give them a hint where to start and if that doesn't work then go help but make them do it. Obviously I don't know the wheel story or situation and don't need to.But that what I would do but again this is coming from a 29 year old who inherent a 4 generation property with 40 year old house and is trying to start a business out of the basement. So I know other people situations are different.

One other thing you can remind them on is that you won't be around for every.. I learned that the hard way when both my grandpas and dad passed within a year and half(I was 22 when my father passed).not trying to play poor me. But i have no regrets follow them around and learning from the when they were still around because the stuff I thought was boring or useless has come back to me when I've needed to fix something or know when is pass my knowledge/time to fix it and get some who does know( perfect example from me is my geo thermal system)

My most recent project was a bin holder for are storage area waiting on the rest of the bins and one of my favorite projects I've ever done is the headboard for my bedroom. Made out of Walnut scraps ranging from 1in wide to 3.5 in wide boards figure jointed and glued together.
