A cold lash day ❄️ & How I adjusted my environment
It’s brick out here in Philly 🥶 This lash adhesive’s minimum humidity is 15%, and my hygrometer was reading 16–20%, which is the very low end of its workable range. At the bottom of the range, adhesive will still work — but it typically cures slower and relies more heavily on proper temperature support. Because my studio temperature was originally around 48°F, I used a space heater to bring the room into range. As I continued lashing my client, I noticed the adhesive did cure and bond quicker once the temperature was adjusted. Humidity still played a major role in overall performance, but this is a real example of how temperature and humidity work together, not separately. See below for a closer look at the adhesive’s storage conditions (humidity & temperature).
