Your Soul doesn't speak English
A Wisdom Well sitting this morning on the crocodile river overlooking the Kruger National Park⌠Mind: I wonder if Iâll see elephants again here today. If a honey badger arrives, will I run to tell the family or phone them? Then I paused for a moment, took a breath, remembering how much we lose when all we are tuned into thought streams. I asked with the intention to discover. Mind: How does wisdom experience this scene? Wisdom: First is silence. Rest in the silence beneath, the silence that carries the gentle river sounds, the silence holding the bird songs. Wisdom: Mind speaks with thoughts. Reality speaks with true seeing and true being. It speaks as silence and resonance. Mind: How can we learn the language of reality? Wisdom: You donât learn, you remember. It is your original and only true language. First, intend to sense and know the silence. Feel the silence of it all. Feel with your whole being, as if your skin knows this silence, as if your body can sense the silence beneath the sounds of the bird calls, the breeze, the river flowing. Tune in with your body to feel the silence. Donât wait for the mind. Let thoughts continue as they will. Be more interested in the felt silence. Your body knows this, your soul knows this, because all life knows its home. With silence as base, then tune in to life as songs of resonance. Tune in to the felt resonance song of the space, as if you sense the air, the openness around and within. Tune in to the resonance song of the river, the way it feels, letting yourself know. The surface and appearance is the noise of the mind thought streams. Human habit is to lock attention on surface mind and take that as reality. All the while, just beneath, the very fabric of reality waits for discovery. Reality sings as silence and the resonance of knowing. The soul doesnât speak English. The soul speaks in the true language of silence and resonance. Learning the language of reality, of the soul and the true self is how you free beingsâbecause you return people to remembering how to commune with life directly.
