Sometimes we pray for something new while holding tightly to the habits... thinking... and comfort of the season we’re asking God to move us beyond... Growth doesn’t mean becoming someone you’re not... It means being willing to learn... stretch... and let go of what no longer belongs in the person you’re becoming... Maybe the next version of you speaks up instead of staying quiet... Maybe you finally learn the skill you’ve been avoiding... Maybe you stop waiting for someone else’s permission... Maybe you become more intentional about where your time goes... God can open a new door... but we still have to be willing to walk through it... (I always say quit slamming the door that God has already opened)... So today... don’t only ask... “What do I want next???” Ask... “Who do I need to become to steward what I’m asking for???” ❤️... Hi everyone! I'm Donna, and I came in today with a little something I've been keeping from @Christy Keeter. 😊 This week, I've had the privilege of celebrating Christy Keeter and the woman behind Presence Over Paycheck. 🌟 But I didn't want the celebration to happen everywhere except in the space she's actually creating. So I came here. 💛 When I asked Christy what change she hopes to create for the people she serves, she told me: “I want to help people realize they have options beyond trading their presence for a paycheck.” But she didn't stop at income. She talked about helping people move from overwhelmed, scattered, and unsure to having more clarity, confidence, practical skills, supportive systems, and a community where they never have to build alone. That last part feels especially Christy to me. I've watched her celebrate someone else's first member as if it were her own. I've watched her stop what she's doing to help another person figure something out. I've watched her encourage people when they're unsure of themselves. And I've been on the receiving end of that friendship and encouragement myself. 💛 Somewhere along the way, Christy stopped being someone I happened to meet on Skool and became a treasured friend. When I told her I wanted to celebrate her, she said something that has stayed with me: “Thank you for seeing me.” So Christy, today I'd love for the people you're building this space for to help me do exactly that.
