We are now more than 100 members in the community! A huge thank you to everyone 🙏 A few days ago, someone asked me: 👉 “What is the true purpose of this community?” My initial answer was "none", I just wanted to enjoy the process and grow little by little. But the truth is, this all started 3 years ago while I was living in the Philippines for 4 months. I learned so much from the Filipinos and their way of enjoying life (even more relaxed than in Spain!). But above all, I learned from their obsession with enjoying the things they love over and over again: 🎤 Singing karaoke from early morning. 🍚 Eating rice with every single meal (otherwise, it’s not a meal). 🎄And stretching Christmas out for 4 months. 👉 That is exactly the purpose of Spanglish Nomads: 🎯 To help us do more of what we love: traveling, meeting people from all over the world and learning from other cultures, mindsets and ways of living. Because life is better when you spend it doing what you truly enjoy. To make this purpose a reality, I have 3 objectives that are far too ambitious to achieve alone: ✅ On-Demand Practice: If any member has a free hour, they can jump into the group and simply practice Spanish and English. ✅ Real-World Connection: Weekly or monthly events in cities like Barcelona, and in the future, maybe outside Europe, who knows! 🎒 Also, group trips like The Spanglish Camino 2026 (+90 hours of bilingual immersion trekking the Way of St. James). ✅ Local Travel Guides: If you're planning a trip, you’ll have a guide made by locals and expats including key phrases to joke around and truly connect with people. Everything we need to burst our bubble and enjoy our time (at home and abroad) so much more 💪 / ¡Ya somos más de 100 miembros en la comunidad!
