What To Do When Nothing Is Happening???
🤩Good day, Freedom By Faith Community! Rise and shine in your community today! It is about 9:00 am in California and things are shaping up for a productive day! ✅Hope all is well, but if it is not, I pray you will have the peace that passes all understanding in the midst of it all! 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯My thought for the day: “when it looks like nothing is happening, you know God is working!😇 💕At a time in my life when it looked like nothing was happening, those words gave me hope! ✅I found that theology and therapy work better for me as I face issues and rise to the level of my relationship with God! 💥Relationship with my husband has improved! 💥Health and Fitness are newer priorities! 💥Spiritual awareness is deeper! 💥Working virtually with clarity! 💥Focused on keeping others to thrive! 👇Who else wants to declare a win today? @Cathy Porter @Rudolph Outlaw @Jeff Serbus @Bridget Gaines @Beverly Briscoe @Atara Thomas @Valarie Rideaux @Zully JF Alvarado @Martha Lanham

@Cynthia McKelvy Cynthia, this is one of those posts that comes from living it, not just saying it. I love the way God has been growing you in so many areas, even in seasons that did not look like much was happening. [He's been in my Kool-Aid, too.]. 💛
But, When Jesus Stepped In
The storm was fierce, and the disciples were certain the boat would sink. Waves crashed over the sides while fear filled every heart. Then Jesus stood and spoke, “Peace, be still,” and the wind and sea obeyed Him. (Mark 4:39) In one moment chaos ruled the water, and in the next moment calm covered it. The storm did not end because the disciples were strong; it ended because Jesus stepped in. Sometimes the greatest change happens when we stop striving and let Him speak into the storm. Where in your life do you need Jesus to step in and speak peace today?

Moments Build Relationships
Relationships are not built all at once. They are built in moments. Sometimes it’s the long road of faithfulness — showing up, loving people well, and letting our character speak over time. Other times it’s the small moment right in front of us. ● A word of encouragement. ● A listening ear. ● A quiet prayer for someone who is struggling. Both matter. Have you experienced a moment when someone’s small kindness meant more than they probably realized?

@Cynthia I have four check-ins today. Each person is walking through a different and very real challenge. Moments like this remind me that supporting our brothers and sisters in Christ through prayer isn’t just something we do occasionally—it can become a quiet, non-negotiable habit of the heart. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can offer someone is simply to bring their name before the Lord. Do you keep a simple prayer list for the people God places on your heart? 🙏

@Cynthia McKelvy Cynthia, I appreciate this reminder about speaking in faith and agreeing with God’s Word. 🙏 For me, I keep a small list of the people and situations I’m praying for. Not because I doubt that God heard the prayer, but because it reminds me to continue the fellowship — to check in, encourage, and keep standing with them in faith. Sometimes we can feel as if our part is finished once we’ve prayed, visited, or carried a meal. Yet our Father remains with us even when healing or deliverance begins to unfold. His care continues, and I believe our care for one another can reflect that same steady love. Grateful for the reminder today keep our words aligned with His promises. 🌿
When Church Hurts, But God Still Heals
Church people can be clumsy. Our failures don’t define God’s character — they reveal our own limits. The Bible even says some will misrepresent Him: “They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny Him.” — Titus 1:16. But Jesus’ invitation is still true: “Come to Me… and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28. Following God doesn’t remove pain. It means you don’t face it alone. “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” — Hebrews 13:5. He stays in the hard seasons and the good ones. He also gives you what you need to stand and heal. “Put on the full armor of God…” — Ephesians 6:11. You don’t have to understand everything — just be willing to trust enough to start.
