Camera Placement
Im interested in how everyone picks where to put hard cam when shooting. I’ve attached an image from The Garage in Glasgow, probably the venue I’ve shot at the most. There aren’t many options for it here, and the obvious place to put hard cam has its pros and cons. What’s the first thing you look for at a venue you’re working at?

The first thing I think I’m looking for is a clean, uninterrupted view of the ring with the crowd making up the background. If the venue allows for a slightly higher angle that means the ring ropes aren’t obscuring the line of sight that’s also a major factor. But equally I want to make sure that the performers are able to easily perform to the camera whilst not necessarily making the crowd feel like they’re being spoken over instead of to
