Juice Cleanses or Real Food
What’s your take on the trendy juice cleanses vs real food for gut health? Which one is more effective? Is one better for long term health?

Such a great question. There are so many fads out there and sometimes it's hard to decipher what really works. Juice cleanses sound sexy and promise fast results. But gut healing isn't a 3-day sprint, it's a sustainable journey. :) Real food wins for long-term gut health, hands down. One big problem with most juices is that they are incredibly high in sugar, even the "healthy" ones. When you remove the fiber from fruits and vegetables, you're left with concentrated fructose that feeds bad bacteria and yeast in your gut - the exact opposite of what you want for gut healing. Plus the sugar spikes and crashes from juice can worsen the exact symptoms people are trying to fix - energy crashes, brain fog, mood swings, cravings. @Brittany Kelley welcome! I know how your daughter feels. I had gut issues as well that MD’s couldn’t figure out! It wasn’t until I looked for natural healing methods that I was able to heal myself. Can’t wait to connect with you and help you on your healing journey!

I'm originally from Canada now living in Southern California! My biggest health struggle right now is eating more and exercising consistently. I get too wrapped up in working that I don't make time to eat (maybe get 2 rushed meals in a day) or do Hotworx (my preferred workout)! I am building this community hoping to help women become aligned in all areas of their life - starting with their health!
