My 1st Original Demo
I got a subscription called Output One (https://output.com/products/output-one) and I’m using it to help me recreate my mashups to original music using the Co-Producer plugin and fine-tuning my sound with Portal and Thermal. I’m also using Movement as a side chain for the background vocal in this instrumental demo I made and have it sounding like a space dream vibe with the same structure as the mashup, and wanted to see what you guys think of it so far. New style stuff
Hey all. Been pretty distant the last few weeks. (Got a new vid tomorrow😉) - but I’d love some feedback on this one. I’ve been making alot of alt rock recording guitars and live drums and it’s been the most fun I’ve had making music in years. Any and all feedback is appreciated. I’m not going for an “EDM” sound, more alt/pop rock as of recent.

I love it and can’t wait to see what you build around it.
Remaking mashups into experimental originals
About a week ago, I posted something about releasing mashups on DistroKid, and noticed that everyone that saw it said not to risk it, so I’m not going to do that. I’ll just see how much of them I can get out to SoundCloud as is and was thinking there are a lot of things around the Internet, where I can use a ton of effects, royalty-free instruments, I can also record reworded lyrics that mean the same thing, and some AI assistance that can probably help me remake it, then trying to get an ultimate approval from everyone to release it, which would be nearly impossible or expensive, and wanted to ask if it’ll be a good idea. I found something called the "Ghost Arrangement" Method. I was thinking of using it. Is it a good idea? Do you recommend another method, or should I just stick with SoundCloud and/or forget about releasing on streaming? I saw Thunder / Young Dumb & Broke (Medley) and Tomorrowland (DJ Mix) albums on streaming platforms and felt I might have a chance if I could keep the structure of the mashups but fill it in correctly with things I can originally make instead of the copyrighted material. I would still build it from scratch using original materials I come up with and just try to use a MIDI reference from the copyrighted mashups I made below. DistroKid
I have a friend who has started releasing his own original music through DistroKid and told me that I might be able to release my mashups through there. But instead of listing the artists so that they pop up on their artists page, which I don’t want to do, I could give them credit by listing all the stems/songs I used from each artist. I don’t want to mess up anything with my friend’s music and want my mashups to be free for everyone on streaming platforms. I just wanted to see what could be the best recommendation for me to join my friend’s Ultimate subscription as the 2nd artist, but give him all or the majority of the royalties, which I don’t really care about. Or should I just buy my own, which would be the basic Musician subscription?https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Gaemv35oyTHEzSbu9ATKM6pojBhZr4Xx

I love it and feel like it’s SoundCloud ready and can’t wait to hear it over there when it releases.
