Love the way you explained softball vs. baseball. I think you hit the main argument on the head...facing the rise ball and trying to be quick and direct. I have heard people say that the more downward chop motion is faster/more direct and will create more "backspin." More than likely you will pop the ball up or slam the ball into the ground. The other argument is that the mound is closer so you need a different swing, but again with HLP you have more time "on plane." Good stuff. Appreciate you!! Would love to hear other people's thoughts as well on the subject.
Coil to toe tap vs Coil to hover
Are there any major differences between coil and hover to snap versus coil to toe tap and snap? Thanks

My daughter is still playing with both. When she toe taps she sometimes will swivel on her backside and get leaned/push back. When she hovers she gets pushy.

Excited to try it out. We also have been working hard on keeping the coil as she goes forward. Tends to just lean back to fight lunging forward. Not keeping the corner. Trust the snap!!
Questions for Next Q&A 1-30-25
Hey everyone, we will be hosting this Q&A Bi-weekly to make sure everyone is getting their questions answered. Feel free to drop em in this thread. Anything and everything is on the table except for a full swing analysis. In this setting it's just not possible to open that up for everyone individually haha. But if you have any questions about the products, training, drills, etc.. please feel free to put em below!!

What..if any...are arguments against HLP for a softball player? There are a lot of older coaches/players who resist the idea even though some of the current best hitters use HLP concepts. Many will say it is just for baseball players and it does not work for a softball player.

@Daniel Ortiz Check out The Stretch (Module 4, Barrel Alchemy). Just watched it and it is really good for this subject!
Have basics, working on mastery
Hi, my name is Chris Lange and I’m from Chicago, Illinois. I purchased the Mini Half Bat from Launchd and I hope to get these 3 things from Swing Nirvanna: 1. Get my children 9 and 11 (Baseball and Softball) to learn how to incorporate the forward move of the load/coil more effectively.   2. Unleashing the coil correctly instead of just swiveling and rotating the torso. 3. Mastering the snap and barrel turn to create that “whoosh of air” sound behind them.  Make it automatic. (Launch Quickness)

Cues for up the back/clamping the scap?
Struggling to give my younger atheltes a cue or idea to have them go up their back better in the coil. When they are lifting..rows..back flys..etc we talk about squeezing the orange or my hand between their scaps. Any cues or concepts that you have used to help someone who just cannot feel it?
