Biomechanics. ‘WSSA - SKI TECHNIQUE LAB UK TOUR 2025 Formulated over 20 years by working with thousands of skiers, the Warren Smith Ski Academy has developed an off-snow skiing system involving a series of simple screening tests measuring specific movement patterns and key actions to perform the sport efficiently. This formula helps to make a skier biomechanically sound, reduces the risk of injury, and makes for faster development when on skis. These programs will educate people on how the 3 Way Lineage works for skiers of all levels to improve themselves.‘

ZipFit GFT boot liner
I'm thinking about using these in my new touring boots (Dynafit Radical Pro). Anyone had any experience of these liners or ZipFits in general?

Interesting. Thanks Floss. People seem to love them or hate them. I suppose the upside of trying and not liking them is they would be easy to sell on.

Thanks for your comprehensive reply Robin. I’m lucky, in that I don’t have “difficult” feet - I can get a decent fit initially with a stock liner. But they pack out quickly - particularly if you are touring. My interest in Zip Fit was related to sustainability and performance. But I am put off by the practicalities of getting them fitted (there is no one who fits them within a couple of hours drive), the difficulty in drying them on multi-day tours, the need to increase the shell-size to get the correct size liner to fit, the increased weight and the loss of range-of-movement, and the cost if I don’t like them. Clearly, lots of people find them excellent, but I have decided for the moment to use some Intuition liners and see how I get on with those.
It's that time of year ...
Good morning. It's just 11 weeks until I hope to be on snow in Tignes (see you there, Floss), which means I really need to get on with some ski-specific training. Neil Maclean-Martin is a physiotherapist based in Chamonix where he works with skiers. I've used his 40-minute ski training workout video for a couple of years - it's excellent and it's free. I thought other group members might like it too.

Some good information here @Scott Courtney. Have a look at the video https://patriotfootbeds.com/blogs/news/48742593-5-best-ski-boots-for-wide-feet

@Scott Courtney Ok, I promise this is my last comment on this. (And if I seem to be going on it's because boots are so fundamental to your skiing experience - and you want that to be great, right?) Three independent boot fitters between 3-4 hours drive of you (Rivington Alpine is the nearest). They would be worth checking out. https://lockwoods.com Leamington Spa https://www.glideslide.co.uk Otley https://rivingtonalpine.co.uk Adlington
