Amazing, well I work with alot of Canadians who purchase a property here and use it for a portion of the year and when they are not using their home they put it on the market for short-term rental. San Pedro is certainly the top destination if you are looking for nightlife. I mean it is nowhere close to NYC or Miami but it is 1st in its class for nightlife where bars are usually open until 1:00 am and nightclubs until about 3:00 am. Placencia is more laid back. the population of Placencia is only 3500 people. San Pedro offers a mix of both relaxation and nightlife for those who enjoy that meanwhile staying north or south of town things are also much more laid back. I live on the south of the island where I can be out of the hustle and bustle but only a 10 in golf cart away to all the restaurants and bars in town. Caye Caulker is more of a backpacker's paradise.
