No energy.
Hi all! I have a question, since iv been vegan iv had more energy but the last couple of days iv had little to no energy and one day two days ago I spent the whole day barely able to keep my eyes open. Iv been taking a B12 supplement and using my cpap and trying to be as active as possible. It’s also been in the 90s here so I don’t know if it’s heat exhaustion, a vitamin deficiency or what. I have been anemic in the past but not for a long time. Has anyone else experienced this? I wanted to maybe ask you guys and try to save a doctor visit.

@Miriam Schiro I’m not sure scientifically. Alkalinity is based on PH, and electrolytes have to do with sodium and nutrients like magnesium I believe.

@Miriam Schiro our bodies need to maintain a healthy balanced PH and a lot of people are deficient in nutrients like magnesium which is important for health. It would be better if you asked a scientist. I’m a nursing student so I don’t know all the answers.
The ☀️ One
Has anyone tried these? I’ve been seeing them all around the world in the vegan socials! Tell us what you think!! Bought the last one at my local.

@Sam Gullo Does Alabama have Fresh Market? They are actually one of my favorite grocery stores, but the closest one is an hour away from my home. They have the best produce aside from my local farmer’s market, which we go to at least once a week!

@Trina McKee do you think you would try them if you were in the store and happened to find them? I couldn’t resist!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know that if anyone is traveling to Alabama, they are more than welcome to stay at our house. We live in Montgomery Al. 20 minutes from a vegan restaurant and 4 minutes from a an outdoor shopping mall. We have a nice guest room with a queen size bed. We live in a safe neighborhood too with a lot of parks and gyms nearby:) we are also getting a nice Crunch Fitness gym 3 minutes away from our house!!:) so if you are traveling to or threw Alabama or vacationing or on holiday there please don’t hesitate to reach out. I won’t bite and I have all of my shots;)

Friday Check-In….. Wooooo it’s Friday folks!
Hey everyone 👋 I’ll be posting in here at least once a week to help keep the community active, connected, and consistent. The goal is to keep us checking in, supporting each other, and moving towards real positive change — becoming our best selves and strong ambassadors for a kinder, more vegan world where we live in greater harmony with animals. Alexis and John thought I’d be a great fit for this, so you’ll definitely be hearing a lot more from me. I’m also really big on personal growth and empowerment — I see it as a gift we give ourselves when we prioritise it, and when we do, we can show up even stronger for the animals and the world around us. So without further ado — let’s see where everyone is at 👇 Quick reality check for the week: You don’t need a perfect week. You just need awareness of what actually happened. What’s ONE thing that went well this week? What’s ONE thing you want to improve next week? Drop it below 👇

@Miriam Schiro I have not watched a classic cowboy Clint Eastwood movie and so long, so thank you for reminding me of that one my fellow cinema addict!
Thank you VEGAN SQUAD for encouraging me to love myself!
Sometimes as a vegan this world feels really dark and really heavy and really lonely. And I'm not going to lie, I feel like I was working myself into an early grave because a part of me didn't want to be around all this suffering anymore. How can people I love, even my family, contribute to this pain and suffering? Seeing what we do to the animals and the people every single day, it's heavy. It's heavy on my heart. And I found through this Vegan Squad family that I think I can do this. I think I can be here. You guys have encouraged me. You've all coached me. It’s been a team effort. It took all of you, not any one of you. It took all of you to get me to this point where I can actually love myself and want to be here. So I want to give you guys a shout out and just say thank you all for making my life worth living. Thank you for making this the best thing I've ever been a part of in my life. And I would not want to do it without all of you. So thank you for encouraging me to love myself and try to make this world a better place while we're still here. I’m grateful for all of you. What’s one thing you are grateful for this week?

I’m grateful for loving and kind people, some are my blood family, some are the family I’ve created and some have come and gone, but it is because of these people I feel blessed. It’s so hard to be vulnerable, and I appreciate seeing people open up here. Even if I’m not making giant waves in life from my humble existence, I’m actively working on choosing joy and peace. Focusing on that is my goal right now. I hope everyone knows that they are valued here, even if we have not met. I pray that all of us can find that, on our plate, in our minds, and in our hearts.
