BookFace is a great ressource for community initiatives. In the case VegHeads is a group that basically shops and prepares a weekly box of vegetables for $55. Every week is different, you never know what you are going to get. But on their FB page they have they give you a break down. Basically this week was $120 worth of vegetables for $55. Almost ridiculous not to get this since you already have to buy groceries. I personally love it because there is always 1-2 vegetables that wouldn’t naturally buy. So it forces me to cook/look up recipes with that ingredient. I sometimes include my kids in the process. And I do 90% of the cooking in our household, so new inspiration is always welcomed. Anyways, great resource. And if you are not in Ottawa east, look up regional FB groups.
