Book and IG Update...After A Long Pause
Hi Everyone! It has literally been MONTHS since I last posted here. After getting married, life hit us with some unexpected turns that included huge life changes, health issues, death...and so many other things. So I just needed to take a step away to grieve, regroup and get into a better mental and emotional place. It was a constant struggle to stay afloat but I kept remembering how much I wanted to do this year and the goals I had set for myself, so even during difficult times, when I would have a few minutes, I would create something small or jot down ideas on my phone. I didn't put pressure on myself to produce or to finish anything, I just let my ideas flow and made sure to store them somewhere other than my brain. It was actually therapeutic. After a few months, those "little" thoughts and ideas were eventually developed into full chapters, posts and other creations I hope to show the world very soon. I built up enough momentum to finish the book I had been writing and I'm excited to announce that it's now in the last round of beta reading before I send it off to my editor (yay!). This week I've also decided to rip off the social media band-aid and start posting on my account @theembodiedglow. I aim to make daily posts but sometimes I just ride the wave of motivation and post as much as I'm inspired to post at that moment. I'm still trying to figure out my "schedule" and the aesthetic and all of those other things, but the leap for me now is to share my account with you all and invite you to follow my content creation journey. It's a big step because I've never liked people seeing the unfinished parts of my process but I'm going to change that! So if you'd like to follow me, my IG account is @theembodiedglow and I'd love to hopefully give you little pieces of inspiration through my posts. While I hope to develop this into something much bigger as time goes on, right now, I am just working on being consistent and posting my thoughts openly without stifling my words.

🔥 One Week Into No-Nonsense November
We’re one week in!!!! Which means you’ve had seven days to face your own patterns. No-Nonsense November isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being unavailable for your own bullshit. The procrastination, the soft excuses, the half-decisions...all of it. So check in, honestly: 💭 What are you noticing about yourself when you stop negotiating your standards? 💭 What’s been getting in your way — the thing you keep pretending isn’t a big deal? 💭 Where have you actually grown, stretched, or shocked yourself this week? This is where self-leadership lives — in your awareness, your honesty, and your follow-through. 📱Comment below and answer the questions in the form of a video or in writing. 🗓️ Next week, we’ll keep building on this inside our Out Loud Hot Seat: Speaking Freely on Camera. You’ve already proven you can be clear with yourself — now it’s about letting that clarity translate through your voice.

This week, I’ve noticed I’ve given myself permission to “shift.” Not shapeshift to please others, but allowing myself to experience different thoughts and feelings without guilt and knowing that differing feelings can exist at the same time. And not putting this definitive “all or nothing” label on situations. Rather looking at the duality of every situation and saying “Yes…and…” For instance, I contacted a vendor about an item I was interested in. They offered to hold it for me, and I initially felt obligated to buy it just because I had engaged in messages with this person and buying “would be the right thing to do”. After giving it some thought, it may not be the best fit for me. I realized I don’t have to settle or feel guilty for wanting something else that would work better for me. I don’t have to feel guilty about not giving someone the sale even when we got started in the process when it’s not a good fit for me. The same goes for services like getting my nails done. I used to avoid speaking up, then go home frustrated and ruminate over how unhappy I was with the job they did and feeling like I wasted my money. Yesterday, I clearly (but kindly) explained how I wanted them to be done and even asked for small adjustments during the service. It felt good to advocate for myself without sitting back and letting something I didn’t like happen. And my nails came out great! I also received an order yesterday that had some flaws. In the past, I would’ve just accepted it, but this time I let the seller know (politely) what was wrong while still expressing that I liked the item overall. There wasn’t much they could do, but it felt important to share honest feedback. Overall, I feel lighter and more at ease and less like I’m bottling things up. I’m adjusting to feeling that speaking up isn’t rude; it’s just part of honest, respectful communication.

@Vasavi Kumar yes! The disappointment of them not getting it right is also so frustrating! I’m so glad that she responded positively to your message!!
🎤 Your Voice Needs a Funnel Too
Most people think funnels are for business. But your voice needs one too. When your message is scattered, people don’t know how to follow you. When your energy is scattered, you don’t know how to follow through. You can’t be in five tones, five CTAs, five versions of yourself, and expect people to know what you stand for. That’s not expression. That’s confusion dressed up as creativity. A funnel isn’t just marketing. It’s structure. It’s a flow. It’s the path your energy takes when you open your mouth. Here’s how it looks inside my business: → Awareness: My free content on Instagram — reels, carousels, and stories where I teach about confidence, visibility, and using your voice. People start to notice my energy and message. → Connection: My free experiences and resources — like the Confidence + Cash workshop, the Visibility Playbook, or my Seen Meditation. This is where people get to feel me and build trust. → Activation: My follow-up emails and stories that invite them to apply what they learned, practice it, and step inside The Out Loud School. → Conversion: The Out Loud School itself — where everything lands. The daily practice. The community. The repetition that builds real visibility, not just another dopamine hit. That’s the flow. Every message, video, and event leads back to the same destination. Your message doesn’t need to be everywhere. It needs to lead somewhere. If your words are always “out there,” but never landing, you’re probably missing the funnel your voice needs. This week, I want you to map your Voice Funnel. Ask yourself: 1️⃣ How do people first experience my voice? 2️⃣ What builds trust and connection? 3️⃣ Where am I inviting them to go next? 4️⃣ Where do I actually want them to land? Because clarity is power. And your voice deserves a clear path to impact. 👇🏽 Drop your Voice Funnel map below. I’ll help you refine it so your message flows — and lands — exactly where it’s meant to.

This is an area I’m going to really reflect on. being clearer with this in my day to day life will help me convey this to others on different platforms. Gonna work on this for homework!
So I’ve decided…✨
I saw this yesterday and my first thought was “Exactly!”. Throughout the day, I’ve been thinking about all of the times I’ve watered myself down or bit my tongue. It’s so clear in my mind when I did this in the past, why I underestimated myself and the fears that caused me to turn minimizing my words into a really bad habit. I reflect on this just to understand myself a bit better and to give myself grace, but I’m done. It’s time to remove this burden and decide for myself what comes next. Before I didn’t have a choice. Now I choose who and how I want to be. And the person I am is pretty damn magical ✨ Hello, everyone! Here 👏🏽 I 👏🏽Am👏🏽
So I’ve decided…✨
Grateful for Christina W's hot seat share
I am so grateful for @Christina W speaking up with such courage! Here's what I experienced as you spoke, @Christina W. You ARE clear about what you want to say, and I believe you will be able to speak it with power. It feels to me about feeling safe speaking. That hot seat stuff feels so scary to me! I am just now able to record and publish some videos. But just doing that has been a huge deal for my nervous system. Sounds like you have a strong writing voice (almost done with a book!)👏🏼 The strength of your writing voice is still finding its way into your speaking voice! I have been practicing a little thing with the mirror work that Vasavi suggests. I tell myself, "Good morning!" and "I love you." in front of a mirror. It has helped me feel less nervous about recording videos. The other thing that helped me NOT feel so nervous that I was NOT able to post videos was sharing them inside a safe audience, like the Out Loud School, before I posted them on social media. It gave me a chance to have it feel less scary and more natural. Anyway, my heart went out to you while you were being so brave in the hot seat!

Thank you so much for this @Christine Weddle. I’ve read it over several times and I really appreciate your kindness. My goal for this month is to do some mirror work each day and I really like the idea of starting off the day with “I love you and good morning”. Thank you again for the suggestion!!

@Christine Weddle so I did it this morning and I noticed myself being really hesitant to even looking in the mirror let alone talking to myself in the mirror. I did it, but I was not very convinced and could see myself giving myself the side eye like “I know what you’re doing”. These interactions between me and me are really something 😆. It’s gonna take some more practice, but I’m going to keep at it! Maybe I should say good night to myself in the mirror too? Have you ever tried that?
