Someone in the AARP Group on FB suggested reading The 36 Hour Day. It's a comprehensive guide to navigating all things dealing with Alzheimer's and other Dementias. I'm only on Chapter 5 but I've learned a lot so far! 1. I had no idea there were so many types of dementia. 2. Even tho Pops case is "early onset" because of his age, it can happen even younger than 62 and can be caused by so many different things. 3. Pops still values his agency and autonomy - it looks different now, and a lot of the advice in the book is about how to empower them without losing your hair in the process 😅 That 3rd one is a doozy 🤣 but lmk in the comments what other things you've learned in your journey.
