Channel audit
I value this community and would love to hear your honest feedback. I’ve been consistently creating videos but haven’t seen much traction. What can I do to improve my channel? https://youtube.com/@betterthanbestacademy?si=IzHGgzCkftngmhaG

Hi Red. I see you have over 1000 subscribers. My question is, what is your marketing system? I just launched my podcast this week, but I think we should market every single episode. Do you have a CTA to invite people to join your list? Then you send out an email every time an episode drops. It's simple but effective. I'm a marketer, so others may see other things. I'd like to know how you're marketing the episodes.😁 Here's my channel: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFvbE5SqGj9Y2ZeiNOEaULqE5lcvwYaXg 😁

I also want to suggest you put an image of yourself on each episode image for the next month or so that you can see if that'll work better. 😁
Storage Advice Needed From Other Creators.
I honestly thought I had done a pretty good job recently clearing storage on my MacBook to make more space for audio files, video exports, AI apps, downloads, and content creation. Apparently not. Two weeks later and I’m already running into storage issues again. So I’m genuinely curious what other creators are doing that is simple, sensible, and sustainable long term. A few things I’ve been wondering about: - Do you keep old videos or delete them? - Do you use external drives, cloud storage, or both? - What files are actually worth keeping long term? - Do platforms like Hypernatural keep exported videos stored long term, or should we assume we need our own backup systems? - Are people archiving older content for reposting later across TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.? I’ve found it useful keeping older videos because I can repurpose or repost content later across different platforms. But video exports, duplicate versions, AI assets, downloads, and storage folders start adding up very quickly. Would genuinely appreciate any simple workflows, storage systems, or advice from creators who feel like they’ve figured this part out reasonably well.

I just published my first 2 Founder to CEO podcast episodes, so I still keep everything! Your post just made me reconsider that decision. Nobody needs to keep the raw videos, right? I streamlined my process. This is what I do: - I'm now using Descript, my editing tool, to directly record into. This helps me cut out 3 extra steps I used to need. That also means that the raw footage is no more. - I keep the original in Descript for now. - I export the audio file for the audio podcast and store it in iCloud storage. - The video is exported directly to YouTube and stored there. This means that I use the storage in Descript and on YouTube. The original scripts and audio exports will be stored in iCloud.
LOSING A PARENT IS NEVER EASY!
Very different episode today... I sit down with Lynn Washington for one of the most personal and heartfelt conversations on the show yet. We open up about grief, faith, and how to keep showing up in seasons of deep loss. I share the story of losing his father unexpectedly on Easter Sunday and how that experience reshaped his view of peace, purpose, and presence. If you’ve ever walked through loss or loved someone who has, this episode will remind you that you’re not alone and that God can meet you right where you are. Love you Dept. Fam.

Condolences @Omar El-Takrori. I lost my mom @94 years old last year and it still hurts. I'm grateful that I know she's been a lifelong dedicated Jesus follower. 😁
WHY PEOPLE AREN'T BUYING WHAT YOU SELL
DEPT. DROP TODAY 🎙️ I break down what people are actually buying online and why most creators and entrepreneurs are stuck trying to sell the wrong thing. Such a great episode today, I gave it all away!

@Bakari Kamal Descript now has a function to do lip syncing if you want to make your video available in a different language.

@Arbaz Ai For sure. I use as much AI as possible. But only if it's quality AI. I don't have time to redo anything.
