A load of crap. Who are the experts? There are no nutritional gaps being a meat eater. I find they reallylike epidemiological (observational) studies that don't show causation. Oxalates in veggies is a kidney concern. And one guy doesn't make a case. I postulate he was oxalate dumping.
Hey everyone, I’m Riley. I’ve been into health optimization for a while now—always experimenting with what actually works in terms of energy, recovery, longevity, etc. Excited to be around others who share the same interests! Looking forward to the conversations here and contributing in any way I can.
I read somewhere where excessive protein and red meat can cause insulin spikes and increase the risk of diabetes. I definitely feel better on my 19th day of carnivore, but I’m not quite sure I’m losing any weight other than waist size possibly. I’m hungry all the time.
CNN out an article suggesting that, other media outlets followed. If you look at the womens health study that is sited, they show a risk ratio of 1.28 eating red meat. 1 is a no- effect. For perspective, the risk ratio of smoking to lung cancer is 10-30, and the risk ratio of type 2 diabetes and coronary heart disease is 10.71. The other article from the health professionals study used food questionnaires every 4 years, very inaccurate. I put a video on rumble about this because the article is lying. I am hereditary Hemochromatosis, so I have to be cautious because i can get what's called bronze diabetes. But at long as I keep up in my treatments, I'll be good.
