Hi, you did an excellent job of reaching out to your Dad, and of communicating with him. Even though it was hard for you, it’s better to have a conversation that is raw and authentic and real, than a fake conversation or worse still, no conversation at all. It’s good that you both got a chance to air your feelings, and now you can both have some time to think about what was said, and to see what steps you both might want to take next. Anyone can be a skilled captain of a ship when everything is going fine, and the ocean is smooth but it takes courage to get into a ship and drive it on choppy waters that are scary, but you still did it anyway and you are to be congratulated for feeling the fear and doing it anyway. Easter isn’t too far away, so if you both are too unsure at the moment to reach out to each other for a while, you can send your Dad a nice Easter card, asking if he wants to catch up at a cafe for brunch. One of my mindset coaches Pat Mesiti always says our pain in life doesn’t disqualify us from things, our pain actually qualifies us for things because we survived it and we can now help others who might have been through or are going through the same thing. He tells the story of a guy who wanted to beat up his mums boyfriend because he physically abused him and hurt him, and Pat Mesiti said to him how can you turn it around into something else and they worked out a better plan, the guy went to university and trained as a lawyer and now he rescues kids who are in the same situation he was in, and he prosecutes the perpetrators. Congratulations again on having the courage to reach out to your Dad, even though it was very hard for you

@Tim Guest thanks for that, I love reading and learning and all my friends call my a nerd for reading too much, so forgive me if my list of favourite books is long 😊 these are my favourite books- which have influenced my life the most- the bible, Rich Dad, poor Dad, Think and grow rich, secrets of the millionaire mind by T Harv Eker, the richest man in Babylon, anything by the marketers Dan Kennedy, Mal Emery, Aaron Sansoni, Harry S Dent, Brett McFall, JT Foxx, As a man thinkers, Tested advertising methods by John Caples, the original edition from the 1030’s, Scientific advertising by Claude Hopkins which is from the 1930’s, and I love cookbooks 😊 there are many more books I love but I better stop here so I don’t look like a nerd 😊

@Tim Guest ohh that’s lovely, I love the old classic books, they really knew the secrets of success in the 1930’s, and thankfully they wrote it all down, to help us too in the next generation 😊

@Tim Guest ohh that’s so awesome that you reached out to your Dad 😊 even if it went well or if it didn’t go well, you will feel good in your heart knowing that you’ve done your bit, and reached out to him, now if the ball is in his court then you can wait for him to make the next move, if and when he feels comfortable. At least now you won’t have any regrets later in life about not trying. I’m so sorry to hear that you haven’t been feeling well, and I hope that sunny times for you are just around the corner 😊 ☀️
