Nature journaling doesn't have to be with paper journals or sketching. Here's mine from yesterday via video. You'll get to see the horses at the end of the video, which is why I went out there to begin with. I needed to check their hooves to make sure they weren't getting hot from eating too much grass. The video is in my free Nature Journaling course (March 30). May still be uploading for the next few minutes, though.

Are any of you currently submitting work to art shows/exhibits? I have entered a few this year after not entering any last year. So far nothing has been accepted, but at least not rejected yet either since the deadlines are just now approaching for all three shows. Here's the one I just entered to OPA's online spring showcase. I entered the old shed painting in the National Exhibition and if it manages to be accepted, I might be taking a trip to Steamboat Springs to attend the opening. Aside from loving Colorado, it would be exciting to make it into that show and I'd like to see it on the wall.

When you can't, or don't want to go outside, you can still do your nature journaling from inside! I just posted mine with narration video in the course. Find it under the Classroom tab :D The pic of my entry is attached here. I just used a photo of a scene from our county road that I like and made a quick sketch after writing some of my thoughts. Entries don't have to be long and the art doesn't have to be 'finished' or 'good'. But I've seen some journals from other artists that are absolutely gorgeous! That's never going to be mine, but I do like the calming effect from doing a little free-writing in front of an interesting scene, whether in person or on screen. Come on now, share one of yours?

So, I decided to try the photo-to-video ai assist in my editing software to make an intro for my skool videos. While I still have a lot of reservations about ai in general, I do have to admit that I love this result and will most likely use it for every nature-related video I make from now on, lol.
