Radio Play
Hey what's up guys just wanted to give advice on how you can get radio play, and how that can help you with your marketing. A lot of people don't listen to radio anymore but it can still be a form of promotion to get a bigger audience and as something you can use for content. I first stumbled on it by accident, someone on my team told me to try to reach out to local radio stations in the area, and so I looked up the shows host emails, easy to find on their website. Sent over the track and gave them background information, they were more than willing to play the track, as they are also looking for ways to get more listeners. Hearing my song played on the radio was one a great expiernce and two it pushed the narrative and I was able to chop up that video into content that I was able to post on social media.

Effortless marketing is the best marketing!
Thoughts? J. Cole just released a song with a producer who’s beat he found on youtube after searching “J Cole type beat”. To me, this is another genius marketing move from Jermaine. J Cole, a former ‘bedroom producer’, reaching back into the community at his status, in combination with the dollar and a dream tour, lounge wear outfits, and bowing out of the superstar chase of his contemporaries (Drake and K Dot) solidifies him as Hip Hops favorite every-man. What do you guys think of this move from Cole? If you heard the song, do you like it?

Independent or Majors???
Where would you like your journey to lead you?

my personal opinion on it is major as much as its finically great to be an independent artist when you are middle tier artist because you make the most money, if your goal is to be the biggest artist in the world historically you have to have the support of the majors, otherwise they either try to blackball you , or rumors start popping up about you. Thats why I believe drake resigned with universal when he the opportunity to become independent while the biggest artist in the world. Just look at all the biggest artists throughout history when they tried to become independent and all the scandals that popped up. Perfect example Prince. Better them having a hand in your pocket and helping you out with better terms than as an enemy of the state in my opinion.
