Intro
Hey guys, I'm from Austria and new to the grip scene. :) I think a lot of you know me as the "grip.giant". Here is my favourite lift from the last week's (60mm saxon - 140kg) https://www.instagram.com/reel/DXZmdcugOiR/?igsh=dHRuNHQ2dDAwN3Jh

140kg is insane. You are too strong ๐Ÿ˜…
Lifting the inch
Thought i would share some tips for the people wanting to lift the inch dumbell. When i trained for it i used a pinch block, wrist wrench, rolling handle and a custom inch trainer. I think the wrist wrench is one of the best tools for battling the rotation. If you are using a inch trainer its important to get the weights to not rotate separate from the handle. Everything should be tightened so hard that it replicates the inch. Where to place the hand? I see many people start with the wrist offset from center. In my opinion the easiest way is if your wrist is straight and straight above the handle. I prefer to place my thumb all the way forward towards the bell. This makes it rotate less and helps me lift level. If tilt lift is the goal first, its better to place it in the middle. Tilting is okay and good for training, but im in the group that believes a real inch lift should be level. I also try to focus on battling the rotation when lifting by trying to wrist curl the inch while lifting. If that makes sense. I think if you can lift 45kg on the wrist wrench you should be strong enough to stop the rotation from the inch. Another last tip is to strenghten the thumb. I use the oitevoima thumb trainer, but you can easily make something yourself also.
Pinching 2x20kg with the holle or York deep dish
Currently working towards this goal. I have been pinching wide with 6x5kg plates and also increasing the distance between my 20kg plates with some wood. If anyone have any other tips for how to train for this feat please share. Still feels like it is pretty far off happening ๐Ÿ˜…

@John Griffith yes! I was thinking about getting the 100mm pinch block from gods. So i can add some small jumps in weight.
The road to lifting my inch
Start with lifting my inch trainer every day. One rep max weight. Upping the weight when I can do two reps.

I used a rolling handle, wrist wrench and a pinch block when i trained to lift the inch. I think the wrist wrench is one of the most important tools!
