Parent's: Let's Get One Thing Clear.
Hey everyone, My peace and my time are the most valuable things I have right now. Basketball training is my passion, and I take it seriously. I've watched players who put in 2+ years with me transform their game completely. That's the standard I train to. It's time some of you match it. If your daughter is in one of my girls' groups, this isn't about you. You're good, stop reading. If you're the parent of one of my boys, read every word of this and pass it on to your athlete. This is not: 1. A babysitting clinic 2. A gym for recess 3. A place to goof off 4. A place to not take seriously Some groups are one bad week away from being cut completely. Starting today, if a player isn't working hard, isn't locked in, and isn't taking this seriously, they're gone. Just like a team cuts a player, I'm cutting players who waste my time. I will train fewer kids who are serious over a full gym of kids who aren't. Every time. The rule: 3 chances. That's it. The third time a player is clearly not trying, they're cut. No discussion, no fourth chance. Go find another trainer. Here's another change, effective immediately. If a player is goofing off mid-session and it's blatant, I'm pulling you out right then and there. You'll sit out the rest of that session, your parents get that session's money back, and when they pick you up, you're going to have to explain to them why you got pulled. Some of you are getting older now, and I have to start treating you like young adults. I have to treat you the way life is actually going to treat you. Training with me is a privilege. It's also an opportunity. And the moment you start goofing off mid-session, congratulations, you just lost that opportunity. When a player gets cut for good, there will be no explanation. I'll text the parent that they're cut, and that's it. If I like the parent, they might get an explanation. Most likely they won't. Parents know their kids. I shouldn't have to explain something you probably already know.

The Best Players Use FEWER Dribbles, Not More
We've been drilling one thing hard lately in training. Fewer dribbles. Most players think more dribbles means more skill. It doesn't. It usually just means you're stalling instead of making a decision. Every extra dribble is a chance for the defense to reset, for help to arrive, for your window to close. The best players in the world don't dribble more than they have to. They catch it, read it, and go. Lately, the rule we've been using in every session. In triple threat you get about a second to decide. Drive, shoot, or pass. Once you commit to a drive, you've got a max 3 dribbles to finish it or make your next move. You're not allowed to just dribble around hoping something opens up. You make a read and you attack it. This isn't about killing your handles or telling you to stop being creative. It's about training your brain to make fast decisions instead of hunting for a highlight. Efficient basketball is boring to watch and impossible to guard. Catch it, read it, attack. That's the whole game at a high level. If you watch good players closely, you'll notice they rarely dribble more than three or four times even when they're creating something. The wasted movement isn't there. Everything has a purpose.

Making Basketball Simple Featuring James Harden
Here in this video, we are going to focus on how to make basketball simple so that players are more effective. Now, I know, judging by the title, you would think, "Why would he use James Harden as an example?" When you get to the video, you will see why. We need to stop overcomplicating basketball; keep it as simple as possible. While you are in the gym to learn skills, those skills do not work unless the following comes first. That's what this video will talk about.

📅 Schedule Update — heads up on a few changes
A few things are shifting starting now: - Coach Jeremy is moving to Monday/Wednesday (was Tue/Thu). Girls group — since we're averaging 9-10 players, we'll be sharing the side court on those days, so space will be a little tighter. Not a big deal, just want you aware. - Private sessions are coming back, on my terms. I used to turn down a lot of one-on-one requests because that's all parents wanted — but this summer I dropped private sessions entirely to get as many players in the gym as possible with no hiccups. Now they're back: Thursday + Friday, scheduled around my availability. A lot of you have games on Fridays, so this lets us build around your actual schedules instead of a fixed slot. - Membership now covers Monday-Thursday. You told us you'd rather train whenever you're free Mon-Thu than be locked into two fixed days that end up conflicting. Quick clarification: Friday was never part of general membership access — it was always reserved for select athletes. Since Friday is now availability-based, membership covers Mon-Thu moving forward. Questions? Drop them below or reach out directly.
