Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Chrisie! I’m a massage therapist with 11 years of experience, and I am so excited to be here with other like-minded people who get it. My wellness journey actually started way before my career did. I began receiving massages at 14 for back pain, and honestly, Ibe been hooked ever since. Some might call me a wellness junkie. Yoga, Ayurveda, acupuncture, craniosacral therapy — I love it all. But massage and Ayurveda hold the most special place in my heart, which is ultimately why I made a career pivot in my thirties after a round of layoffs ended my sales career. Best thing that ever happened to me. For the past several years I’ve been working at a spa, specializing in lymphatic massage, energy healing, and sound healing. But recently, my husband and I moved into what feels like our dream home — a 1950s house on a wooded property in a small town that came with a back bedroom with an exterior door. Basically a built-in massage studio. 🌿 So I’m now building my private practice, and I am already loving every second of this experience. There’s something about building a local business that just feels so meaningful and almost vintage — actually knowing and serving the people right around you. It gives me such a sense of purpose. I’m in the early stages of defining my niche. I’m drawn to working with women in the prenatal and postpartum seasons. Particularly using an Ayurvedic lens to support mothers in postpartum recovery (not “bounce back” culture but true, deep nourishment and healing). I’m attending trainings in fertility massage and advanced prenatal techniques in the next few months, so that space is really where my heart is right now.
