Bottle top flowers
I am working on using bottle tops and bottoms for my Saturday clas. I have added some yellow petals to make a sunflower. I also have a video on how this is done. It’s one of those Crazy nocturnal wide awake activities that had to be done at 3a.m. I am actually wearing my dressing gown so I do apologise. Let me know if you would like the link…it’s a bit embarrassing! So do post if you would like to share a night owl story or Just post a photo of your latest WIP! Sunflower pic to follow

That look great. I think a yellow centre and it would look stunning.

@Roslyn Hill I hope my daughter will like it as she is a primary teacher. You never know. Hopefully you'll have an order from Oz. Yet I am not sure in is OK with the curriculum.
Are your hands hurting? Does it stop you from crocheting?
Disclaimer: I don’t promote this often because it’s not really what I am about. I can’t guarantee it will help. However if latch hook crochet can help someone who is struggling then maybe I should speak of it. While on holiday in Australia, I was crocheting with my latch hook on a camp site. A lady walking past said “ what are you doing?” I showed her and she asked if she could try because crocheting was causing her Pain in her thumb. Afterwards she got quite excited saying she would buy a latch hook and stop using her traditional hook because it was so much easier on her thumb. I was at the Yarndale show and a lady with severe hand arthritis asked if she could try with the latch hook. She had always enjoyed her crochet passion and had to stop. After trying the latch hook she said she would pick up crocheting again and said You should tell more people about this”.

I totally understand that lady. I do not crochet any more with my left hand. I have arthritis in both hand however my left is worse sometimes causing a trigger thumb. I also find that often now instead of using the pencil grip I use the knife grip. It is easier on my fingers.

@Roslyn Hill No it doesn't with that shape of hook. I have done latchhook so I should be fine. I will have a go today.
Look what I arrived
Today I received my cordmaker. Thanks @Roslyn Hill I cannot wait to try it.

It is a good video. Is this video was done for YouTube or for another platform such as TikTok? The reason I ask YouTube videos look better if they are film in landscape instead of portrait. Sound is good.

@Roslyn Hill I believe you can do it on the iPhone in landscape. Perhaps just turn the phone on the side. Just play with it and see.
