👋 Welcome to Full-Time RV Roadmap 🚐 — Start Here
Hey, I'm Mary. And I'm so glad you're here. Nine years ago my husband Tim and I sold our house, packed way too much into our RV, and hit the road with more questions than answers. We didn't have a community like this. We didn't have anyone who'd done it to ask. We figured it out the hard way, through expensive mistakes, overwhelming research, and a lot of "I wish someone had told us that." That's exactly why I built this community. Full-Time RV Roadmap is the place I wish had existed when we were starting out. Whether you're 6 months out or 2 years away, whether you have an RV already or you're still scrolling listings at midnight, you belong here. Here's what you'll find inside: 👋 Introduce Yourself - Tell us who you are and where you're at 🚐 Going Full-Time - Everything about the transition 💰 Fund Your RV Life - The money conversations nobody else is having ⚡ Life on the Road - Real talk from real RVers 🏕️ Campsite & Route Finds - Hidden gems from our community A few things I want you to know: ✅ There are no dumb questions here ✅ I personally read and respond to every post ✅ This is a judgment free zone - we were all beginners once ✅ Your dream is valid no matter how far away it feels One thing before you do anything else: 👉 Go introduce yourself in the Introduce Yourself category. Tell us your name, where you're at in your journey, and what your biggest question is right now. I personally welcome every single member and I'll be the first to reply. The road is calling. Let's get you ready for it. Mary 8-year full-time RVer | Life in the RV

Janit and are both 68. We owned a home in Rogersville, AL. Jan was sick for two years and I was unable to care for our home and property as well as I like to. As Jan regained her health We discussed selling our home while the market was good and before it started to depreciate due to lack of needed attention. I have always enjoyed the fellowship and community of people that love the camping lifestyle. They are a different breed. I suggested buying an RV to move into full-time and Jan was agreeable. We sold the house and bought a pre DEF, diesel pusher, a 2004 Monaco Executive 43PBQ. We are currently downsizing and have moved 90% into the RV. We will be in the RV full-time no later than Mar 31, 2026. We have an awesome RV park that caters to long term parking, right on the Tennessee River 3 miles from our current home. We plan to make this home base, as we travel to different locations from here to explore and enjoy retirement.

I agree Mary. The house and yard maintenance was definitely more labor intensive.

🎨 Day 1 – Welcome
Before people choose an RV, sell their house, or plan a route, something happens first. They imagine RV life. The places. The freedom. The slower pace. That vision is what keeps you going when planning gets overwhelming. Today's step: Take a few minutes and think about what RV life looks like for you. Mountains? Beaches? National parks? Visiting family? Working remotely from beautiful places? 👇 Tell us in the comments If you could wake up anywhere in your RV tomorrow morning, where would it be?
