Today: I caught myself…
Today I caught myself telling my daughter “not to spill her food on your shirt while she ate.” And guess what happened? You guessed it. She spilled on her shirt. Instantly, I reacted. I told her, “How could you do that?! I just told you not to do it!” And then, I was reminded of this video and my own advice I share to my students in MPGA. Write in the comments if you can relate to this and give an example of a recent time you fell for this trap! https://youtube.com/shorts/iPLe6N2GaXg?si=J-1O8mr-Yv0MUj_t

That ironic - I just listened to your module not to think of a blue elephant 🤣 I'm observing my students telling them self to not do things and they ultimately do it as hard as they try not to. The concept of reframing "to do" is powerful!

Hello everyone. I live just south of Atlanta, GA and teach this great game to anyone who wants to improve. My speciality is junior golf and recently accepted a college coaching position at SCAD Atlanta. As a past college player and instructor, the mental side of golf has been a subject of interest, but now in my current role, I see my players need this more than anything to achieve their goals. I met Dr Mat at an Annika Clinic this past summer and listened /read his work and said to myself “I need to learn more!” I look forward to learning from everyone’s experiences and improve my coaching ability. Thanks for your patience’s. Outside of coaching, I enjoy watching sports, meeting new people and working on my own golf game experimenting with new technology.

I really like the Sportsbox app.... they are continually improving this app and the new practice mode is great. I'm also experimenting with a couple of AI apps - that are consumer focused, but could be a great practice aid for the beginning golfer with the support of a teaching professional. One of the exciting platforms that I was just introduced for my coaching business is Golf Live. It has tons of potential. Other apps are tied into wearable devices such as DeWiz and Hackmotion. Devices that attach to the club - Vertex for Putting and Blast Motion.
