Stop scheduling meetings to solve communication problems.
I've seen countless colleagues fall into this trap: poor communication leads to more meetings, which leads to meeting fatigue, which leads to... worse communication. The real solution isn't found in your calendarโ€”it's in your systems. Instead of adding meetings, build async workflows: - Document decisions in shared spaces everyone can access - Create clear handoff processes between team members - Use project management tools that show real-time progress - Establish communication channels for different types of updates - Build searchable knowledge bases for recurring questions The best-communicating teams I've worked with aren't the ones with the most meetings. They're the ones who've invested time upfront to create systems that let information flow naturally. Your team's time is precious. Protect it by building processes that work 24/7, not just during scheduled calls. What async systems have transformed communication in your workplace?

The Internal Communication Problem Most Companies Ignore
After years of observation, I've noticed something odd. Despite investing in collaboration platforms like Slack, Teams, and other tools, most companies still default to email for 99% of their internal communication. This creates several issues: โŒ Real-time collaboration suffers when everything is done via email chains โŒ Knowledge sharing becomes siloed instead of transparent โŒ Important conversations get buried in cluttered inboxes โŒ Decision-making slows down unnecessarily The tools for better internal communication already exist in most workplaces. The question isn't about technology, it's about changing habits and creating intentional communication protocols. What's your experience? Have you seen companies successfully transition away from email-heavy internal communication? What worked (or didn't work) in your organization?

Is there a right amount of thinking before taking action?
We've all heard it: "Stop overthinking and just take action." The overthinking part is true, but this advice leaves out something important. Yes, thinking too much can paralyze you. But thinking things through actually helps. The real trick is knowing when you've thought enough to take action. Some decisions need careful thought. Others just need a quick gut check. The key is knowing which is which, then moving forward once you've figured it out. Don't eliminate thinking. Just think with purpose, then act.

What's your BHAG?
For those unfamiliar, a BHAG is a "Big, Hairy, Audacious Goal." It's a long-term, visionary goal that requires you to push beyond your limits and transform your business or organization. It's not just a mission statement; it's a clear, compelling target that inspires and focuses everyone's efforts. I'd love to hear about the big goal you're chasing. What's your BHAG? Share it below and let's discuss the strategic systems you're building to get there.

@Danny Gardner consultative selling is a solid system. I've used it in wealth management and IT, too. Are you commission based?

I'll go first. I'm from Edmonton, AB, Canada (Go Oilers!). My favourite authors are Robert Greene, Cal Newport and Alex Hormozi. Here's what each has taught me. - Greene has taught me so much about human behaviour - Newport has taught me how to work effectively - Hormozi has taught me about business And they've all helped me become a better thinker.

@Danny Gardner the 4-Hour Workweek is what started it all for me. That's a book I should revisit. Do you have the Daily Stoic?
