I don't have an "identity" problem because I've done so many different jobs that I'm not connected to one career or profession. Retirement for me is just getting to do whatever "I" want. I think meaning, connection and belonging will come with that.

@Art Bingham If I had to chose one, it would be meaning. If I'm gonna live another 30 yrs (my dad is 97), then I'm not going to be sitting on my couch crocheting all day...well maybe a bit cuz I do like to crochet, but I'll always be working on something, hopefully that can help others. My secret dream has something to do with a soup kitchen or reading/education. I think with that will come connection & belonging, but those aren't high on my needs list.
