Every man wants more fruit. A better marriage. A stronger faith. Greater peace. More wisdom. A bigger impact. But here's where the KID and the KING part ways... 👦🏾 The KID... The KID believes: "If I work harder... I'll become a better man." So he fills his calendar. He chases success. He hustles. He performs. He burns himself out trying to become someone only God can transform him into. The KID is focused on producing fruit... Without staying connected to the Vine. Eventually... He becomes exhausted. Because you can't manufacture what only God can produce. 👑 The KING... The KING understands something life-changing... Fruit isn't produced by effort. Fruit is produced by abiding. He spends time with God before he tries to lead others. He seeks God's presence before pursuing God's promises. He knows that intimacy with Christ always produces influence. He doesn't strive to become more loving... He abides with the One who is Love. He doesn't force patience... He stays connected to the One who gives peace. The KING knows... His greatest responsibility isn't producing fruit. It's remaining connected to the Vine. 📖 Jesus said... "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing." — John 15:5 Notice what Jesus didn't say. He didn't say... Work harder. Try harder. Do more. He said... Remain. Abide. Stay connected. Because... The branch doesn't strain to produce fruit. It simply stays connected to the Vine. 👑 Today's KING Move Before you open social media... Before you answer emails... Before you build your business... Before you solve everyone else's problems... Spend time with the King of Kings. Because... The KID wakes up asking, "What do I need to accomplish today?" The KING wakes up asking, "Lord, how can I remain close to You today?" One pursues productivity. The other pursues Presence.
